About Andrew Fit
& Function

Alex Andrew began his career in fitness with the goal of helping others realize that movement is for everyone, while simultaneously hoping to dismantle the intimidating nature of the fitness industry. Beginning as a runner, Alex decided to try group fitness classes in 2017 where he met a coach who immediately made him feel welcomed and part of the community.

After a year of boxing classes, circuit classes, and indoor cycling, Alex realized that it was his calling to do for others what his coach had done for him: She had helped lift him up to become his best self while keeping the process fun and enjoyable. In the spring of 2019, Alex began coaching indoor cycling at Spin Society, and before the end of the year, he began coaching bootcamp classes focused on cardio boxing at Hustle. Since then, he has coached over 5000 group fitness classes, becoming a Master Instructor at Spin Society in 2020 (also serving as the Brand Lead during the Revel Fitness era of the pandemic). He became an ACE Functional Training Specialist in 2021 and was certified in TRX training in 2023. In 2025, Alex decided he wanted to bring his enthusiasm for helping people reach their goals to a more tailored approach, so he became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and created “Andrew Fit & Function.”

Alex started Andrew Fit & Function as another step toward his original goal—to help others. Chasing goals in fitness is not just about movement; it is about maintaining a positive mentality along the way as well.

“My aim is to help you with your fitness goals, whatever they may be. I want to help you grow stronger, age well, and give yourself grace every step of the way.”
